Mold Dog of Virginia

Commercial & Residential canine mold detection Service

Mold Dog Services

A dog’s sense of smell is its most powerful sense. It’s 100,000 more powerful than humans with 300 million scent receptors. Humans have 6 million. A dogs nose is so sensitive that it can detect the equivalent of a 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar in an Olympic-sized swimming pool.

A mold dog will save you money with instant and accurate results. Rudy has been specifically trained to alert on 16 different species of the most common toxic molds and thousands of strains within those species, where traditional mold inspections and air tests don’t always tell you where the source is located, Rudy will alert instantly to the location of the mold. This will enable you to avoid hiring additional services to find the mold, unnecessary remediation costs, continued health issues and frustrations. Mold dog results are also legally admissible in court. Whereas other testing, such as an ERMI is not.

Why you might need to hire a mold dog...

You've just had mold remediation work done and you want to confirm that remediation was successful.

You would like to buy a new home and want to ensure a mold-free environment. In the home search process, there isn't time to do a standard air quality mold test quickly. While you are waiting for the mailed test results to come back you could be missing out on the home of your dreams

You have a sense or smell of mold but cannot locate where it's coming from.

You have unexplained health issues that could potentially be caused by the presence of mold.

You had mold issues in the past and just want peace of mind with a periodic evaluation after remediation.

About the Founder

My name is Lacey Lee, founder of Mold Dog of Virginia and owner of Lacey Lee Fitness. I’ve been battling Lyme Disease since 2015 and mold has been my biggest roadblock. Sadly, for the first 5 years of my health declining rapidly, mold was never mentioned to be a potential cause. Out of the dozens and dozens of doctors I've seen over the years, not a single one mentioned mold. It wasn’t until I entered a life-saving and life-changing program to treat Lyme Disease with The Heal Hive, that I learned about mold.

Not only did I learn about mold but I learned I was living in it. I had countless mold inspectors say I didn’t have mold issues. I knew from numerous ERMI (Environmental Relative Moldiness Index) tests and lab work that there was an issue. I spent more money than I’d like to calculate on trying to get to the bottom of the mold saga. A saga that was exhausting, expensive and made me feel like a crazy person.

Then, two magic words came into my life: MOLD DOG. I hired Bill Whitstine, the pioneer of the mold dog industry to come inspect. His dog, Sarge found mold in numerous places. The very same places every human mold inspector said I didn’t have an issue. I was instantly sold on using a mold dog for all future mold concerns.

Since mold kept showing up in my life, keeping me sick and slowing my progress with treatment for Lyme, I made the huge decision and commitment of getting my own mold dog.

Not only do I want to help myself out but I want to help people avoid the unnecessary costs, energy and tears that I went through trying to locate the mold source.
